Join our purchasing team and help strengthen our global supply chain

We are looking for a structured, proactive, and commercially minded Purchaser to join our procurement team. Workplace is Oslo or Horten.

As a Purchaser at Zenitel, you will play an important role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of components, materials, and products that support our daily operations and long-term business objectives.

We are a global company operating in the electrical and electronics industry, working with suppliers and manufacturing partners both locally and internationally.

You will become part of a collaborative team where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your responsibilities, contribute to continuous improvements, and develop your procurement expertise.

Key responsibilities: 

• Order placement and follow up
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, purchase orders, inventory management and contract negotiations
• Keeping data on own products and suppliers in the ERP system updated
• Assist in vendor selection and negotiation processes
• Support sales organization/product management in sourcing activities for new products 
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning teams to forecast demand
• Ensure timely delivery of components to support production schedules and project timelines
• Analyze purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate closely with the procurement team and other departments with focus on operations and continuous improvements

Desired qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent within supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
• Documented work experience within supply chain can compensate for formal education
• Good commercial understanding and strong analytical skills
• Good communication skills in English and preferably also in Norwegian
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage, but not a requirement
