Senior Manager, Operational Excellence and BCM

DSV Contract Logistics Norway is strengthening its operational excellence capabilities and is seeking a Senior Manager, Opx and BCM to drive continuous improvement across warehousing and logistics operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about reducing waste, optimizing processes, and enabling teams to deliver world‑class performance.

You will work closely with warehouse operations, IT, engineering, and commercial teams to identify bottlenecks, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable improvements that enhance customer value and operational efficiency. Your work will directly support DSV’s commitment to scalable, data‑driven, and people‑centric logistics solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing operations using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Map, analyze, and redesign end‑to‑end warehouse processes, identifying waste, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional workshops with Operations, IT, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to align processes, systems, and performance goals.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring operational issues.
  • Collaborate with Deliver and Training Team to develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best‑practice documentation.
  • Partner with operational leaders to build a culture of employee engagement,
  • Act as a trusted advisor to site managers and senior leadership on operational excellence and process optimization.
  • Assist and be an ambassador for the site managers in implementing DSV X site program.
  • Collaborate with Site Engineers and Application Engineers to affect System and Process Improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in process improvementwarehouse operations, or supply chain optimization.
  • Strong expertise in LeanSix SigmaDMAICvalue stream mapping, and waste reduction.
  • Proven track record of leading cross‑functional improvement projects in complex operational environments.
  • Experience with WMS, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage teams at all levels.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is an advantage.
