Purchaser

Are you ready to grow your career in purchasing?

We are seeking an engaged and structured purchaser to join our team in Horten or Oslo. As a purchaser in Zenitel, you will be involved in the day-to-day procurement activities, with supplier communication, quotation reviews, order processing, and follow-up.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues and gain practical insight into how procurement functions operate in a professional environment. Growing into the role and developing your skillset, you will have the opportunity to progress into an advanced buyer focused on analysis, supplier strategy, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Order placement and follow up
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, purchase orders, inventory management and contract negotiations
  • Keeping data on own products and suppliers in the ERP system updated
  • Assist in vendor selection and negotiation processes
  • Support sales organization/product management in sourcing activities for new products  
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning teams to forecast demand
  • Ensure timely delivery of components to support production schedules and project timelines
  • Help analyze purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate closely with senior buyers and other departments
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in purchasing procedures

Desired qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent within supply chain, logistics, procurement or similar
  • Documented work experience within supply chain can compensate for lower formal education
  • Good communication skills in English and preferably also in Norwegian
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage, but not a requirement
